Are you interested in Starting a Club?
How to make a Club:
1) Give friends a brief intro into what microcredit is, and how it makes a difference.
2) Find a faculty member to be the advisor for your club. (Their involvement can be as extensive or limited as you need.
3) Encourage your friends and classmates to join the club.
4) Contact us at info@ymci.org to get your club profile on the website!
Once you've got the group together, you can discuss different ways of spreading awareness about microcredit, as well as brainstorm different ways of fundraising. It's important to remember that all money that you raise from independent fundraisers will be loaned through YMCI to people wanting to grow their small businesses around the developing world.
Also, the website will provide an opportunity for a forum between all members of YMCI throughout the country, to discuss strategies, successes, and future plans!
The most important thing is to have fun!
